BUKIT JALIL: The software testing industry may be relatively new in the country but Malaysia has the potential
to become a regional software testing hub in the next five years. Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB) president Mastura Abu Samah said with the opening of an RM11 million  lab — Q-Laboratory in Puchong
sometime this month, the facility will serve as a regional testing centre for companies interested in outsourcing
software testing.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd this morning concluded a syndicated Islamic financing facility of RM330 million for Kedah Sato Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB), for the construction and development of a permanent campus for Kolej Universiti Insaniah (KUIN) in Baling, Kedah.

Bank Islam, the lead arranger, completed the exercise with the participation of Affin Islamic Bank Bhd as co-arranger. Bank Islam’s syndication is RM200 million, while Affin Islamic’s portion is RM130 million.

KUALA LUMPUR: When baby Wong Wai Jing was born in December 2008 - after a decade of being a frozen embryo - her birth was believed to be a miracle and a record of sorts.

Now, the 14 months infant and her 47-year old mother have been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the phenomenal feat.

Wai Jing, a cute 11kg toddler, has been listed as the female offspring of the first embryo frozen for the longest duration while her mother, June Tan, has been listed for gestating the first embryo frozen for the longest duration.
